Aurizon selects Radlink to deliver a TETRA railway communications network for central Queensland

Radlink Communications an Australian owned & operated business specialized in radio solutions and distributor for DAMM, will install on of the largest and advanced radio networks in Australia, after the company has secured contract with Australia's largest rail freight operator, Aurizon. It is expected that the TETRA radio communications network will be completed during the first months of 2018. The new network will replace the 4 existing system, containing 79 sites and covers 2,670 kilometers of rail network. The network will also link 50 coal mines and four major ports throughout Central Queensland.

The new network will also deliver improved monitoring, remote diagnostics, overlapping radio coverage, GPS tracking and distress signal capabilities. Radlink’s will install DAMM's Tetraflex radio base stations, included with Sepura radio's terminals.
